Hook-Ups

What is the recommended procedure for importing a Hook-up Item Library into SPI7/Oracle 9i? Please specify the most reliable format file in which the Library should be for a problem free import?

thanks

Re: Hook-Ups

In SPI 7  you need to import to the hook_up_sub_libraries table as well

For the Hook_up_Item_Library table you need to link for your source file

HU_ITEM_LIB_NAME and HU_LIB_DESC

For the Hook-up Item Library table you need to link  HU_ITEM_LIB_NAM,

SUB_LIB_NAME, SUB_LIB_DESC, SUB_LIB_FLG  columns (Default sub library flag should be ‘A’).

The id of the default Hook-up Item Library needs to be added in the plant table.

To be able to see the library name and the sub library in the GUI  you will also need to insert new rows to the table hook_up_sub_libraries with the relevant plant ID  and all the HU_ID  from the hook_up_table and the item library id and item sub library  id .

Re: Hook-Ups
STEPS TO IMPORTS
1. Run sql select * from hook_up_sub_libraries then write its hook_up_lib_id and sub_lib_id
2. Run sql select * from hook_up_item_library then check if hook_up_lib_id and sub_lib_id matches from 1 above. If value is 0 then see up-front slide
3. Then via IMPORT UTILITY create new link in the following order :-
     1. Item_list (E:/item_list.xls ; Table name : itemlist ; Savelink : itemlist)
     2. Sub_lib_item_list (E:/item_list.xls ; Table name : itemlist ; Savelink : sublibitemlist)
     3. Hook_up_type (E:/hook_up_type.xls ; Table name : hookuptype ; Savelink : hookuptype)
     4. Hook_up (E:/hook_up.xls ; Table name : hookup ; Savelink : hookup)
     5. Hook_up_item_list (E:/hook_up_item_list.xls ; Table name : hookupitemlist ; Savelink : hookupitemlist)
Item 3.1 to 3.5 have to be created in excel format is typical for my case.
4. Ensure “insert mode” is insert & update
5. Check also select * from hook_up_plant_sub_lib(NEW). This should count same as the hook_up records (no less)
