Creating New Unit

Hi,

I am working on Operation Owner project avitivity 2. Now I want to add new units to the project activity 2. So, I have to go Adminisattor & create domain under As-Built.

Is it possible to create new units under project activities or i have to create through As-Built only?

If I create from As-Built then how to add in project activities.

Pls reply if you anybody know.

Hi,

 

The Asbuilt and the engineering projects are view schema in the database.

the application filter the items that belong to the engineering project and if the items are in the  unit level  (tags and loops)and you didn't assign the unit to the engineering project you can't see them and you can't claim and merge these items.

In the admin (domain schema) you should create the unit and after that assign it to the engineering project.

By defult all the units are assign to the asbuilt.

Hi,

I thought this was new post. Originally it was back from 2008. The new version SPI v7, all creation of new units are via the Domain Administration and click "explorer". Then on Aea level, "right-click" to create new unit. that's it.
