Access Centralized Oracle Databasse serve

Hi,

We have a common system with SPI8 and Oracle 10g(Enterprise Edition) Database installed. My question is how to access the common daabase(oracle 10g) from 3 different users. Already 3 users has installed SPI8 and oracle 10g(Enterprise Edition) in their own machine. Do we want to change any files, plz tell me the procedure?

Hi,

You should create a new allies in the oracle client and point it to the right instance.

Change the Intools.ini section [database] DBMS = O90 and ServerName = <the name of your Allies>

Open the file c_ver.ora and c_ver.pbd with notepad and copy the numbers from c_ver.ora to c_ver.pbd.
