Deleted Tag Affect on IO Assignment

Hi,

IF we (as a System contractor) designed a point to an I/O card and it is deleted in between from P&ID by EPC, ofcourse SPI should also update accordingly. As I know currentely, SPI has no inteligency to identify automatically a particluar tag has been deleted. Does SPI have?

>>How do we know it has been deleted? >>

Currently I am using following technique - we have a field called Instrument_Status(CMPNT_HANDLE_ID) in SPI, Instrument_status is defined as dropdown menu with 'Tag Deleted', 'Relocated device' etc.. EPC must have defined in Instrument index against tags that ‘Tag Deleted’ from drodown menu in Instrument_status field.

Ultimately, For us as a MICC(Main Instrument & Control Contractor) we should get this field(Instrument_status) as a column into Instrument Index XLS Report from EPC. So that we can filter ‘Tag Deleted’. Accordingly system engineer will update his IO assignment schedule and pass it to SPI User and SPI User will have to unassign these tags from a particular I/O card in SPI.

So My question is - is there any 'inteligent way' to do this tracing? thanks.

Regards,

Jignesh Bhalia

Best Regards, JB
