Re: Question on this write up though

Again, this document pertains to a Citrix connection.  I don't want to use Citrix.  I want to use the remote desktop.  We've been having a few issues with this.  Intergraph tells me it's because it's not certified to work with remote destop, only Citrix and therefore won't help me solve my issues.

Any information you have on this.

Re: Question on this write up though
I should say any tricks that help with it.  We've followed the basic setup guide in the Thin Client documentation but still having connection problems once in awhile and just weird little errors that come up on some of the users machines and not others.

Re: Question on this write up though

Are you working with Intools version 6 or lowest?

It's importent to know for the connection trouble shooting.

No different between terminal server and Citrix the principle is the same.

Re: Question on this write up though

For users who work with INtools version 6 and Terminal Server\Citrix and get  the following message:

"Your session has been terminated by the INtools System Administrator.

Please contact the System Administrator, or logon back to INtools"

First of all you need to make sure the Intools.ini deleted from Intools home directory.You should check in registry if ConnectionID

(HKEY_CURRENT_USER=>Software=>Intergraph=>Intools) is unique per each Intools user. It's recommended for now, changing this value manually to "0" for all users and check if this number changed automatically when each user enters into application and logout and login again. Otherwise, make the ConnectionID as unique manually per each user.

If the ConnectionID not changed to unique number probably it’s a problem with access right write to the registry and you need to fix it first.

It is another option to manage the ConnectionID in the Intools.ini on the terminal server \citrix  user profile folder

Please perform the following on all users intools.ini [Environment] section:

ConnIDINI=1

ConnectionID=0

check if this number changed automatically when each user enters into application and logout and login again.
