Re: Upgradation Problem

Hi Ilan,

I got another problem with the upgrade. We have to uogarde to INtools ver 6.10 first before SPI 7.08. It seems all are working fine. Our 3rd party users are accessing SPI 7 via citrix but for our internal user (mostly using Global Infrastructure Desktop) the installation is control by our central IT management. The installation is scripted and has caused certain steps to be outside normal. What it does, it locks the user's installation folder (ie C:\Program Files\Smartplant\Instrumentation) thus the intools.ini can not be copied and update. The intools.ini is now reside in the user C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Intergraph\SPI. What happen now is, the Page Editor to regenerate old spec page either display blank page or "can not load page #1".

FYI, beside Spec module, I also encounter problem such that the Browser's Group views did not display the column names under the Style, Sort and Filter view.

Do you have any option to overcome such problem? Please advise.

Re: Upgradation Problem

Hi,

You should map the internal users and external users to the user profile folder on the network where the cirix it store the Intools.ini.

Ask all the users to point the temp drive in the preferance to this tem folder and do the same for PSR folder.

In the preferences --> Instrument specificacation check the overwrite PSR file check box.

Regards

Re: Upgradation Problem

Hi Ilan,

For citrix users, we don't have much of a problem. The citrix create individual user's folder and each has their intools.ini. The only modification needed to intools.ini is each of them has their intool.ini's unique connection_id set.

For internal users that connects to the SPI7 server directly, we have changed the temppath and psrpath accordingly but the specc page is still either blank page or "can notload page #1". Other internal users, generate the spec sheet but unable to edit i.e. none of the data entry fields are edittable.

Please advise
