Showing double terminal

Dear Admin,

There was a new junction box created in Project A and the same designer wished to use the spare terminal for Project B. So what I did is I merge the required terminals (say 3 & 4) back to As-Built database then intentionally claimed terminal 3 & 4 from As-Built to Project B.

Unfortunately in Project B, the terminals were not visible. But the original junction box in Project A somehow shown double for each terminal. I did run checkdb and run the suggested fix statement but no affect to the junction box display terminations. I run sql to check the record from the panel, panel_strip and panel_strip_term tables but I could not see any duplicate terminal (term_num, term_seq) from panel_strip_term. Their eng_proj_id corresponds to Project A where the junction box was originally created.

Any reason why this happen and how to correct it? Please advise.

Re: Showing double terminal

First of all it’s risky to work with AsBuilt in your version, you need to upgrade to the latest version 6 SP .

To find what the problem is, please run the following query and send me the results as excel files:

1. select distinct p.panel_id,p.panel_name,s.strip_id,s.strip_name,t.term_id,t.term_num,term_seq,t.eng_proj_id,t.eng_ref_id

    from panel p,panel_strip s,panel_strip_term t

    where p.panel_id = s.panel_id and p.panel_id = t.panel_id and s.panel_id = t.panel_id and

    s.strip_id = t.strip_id and p.panel_name = '70-JE-0722' ;

2. select * from scope_terminal_relation where proj_panel_id in(select panel_id from panel where panel_name = '70-JE-0722');

3. select * from scope_terminal where panel_id in(select distinct asbuilt_panel_id from scope_terminal_relation

    where proj_panel_id in(select   panel_id from panel where panel_name = '70-JE-0722'));

Re: Showing double terminal

I also change slightly the sql to read as panel_name like '%70%JE%772%' and still no record. Any other suggestion ? I also run the sql below. I will email you the excel files for your investigation.

1. select * from panel where panel_name like '%0772%';
2. select * from scope_terminal where panel_id in (Select panel_id from panel where panel_name like '%0772%');
3. select * from scope_terminal_relation;
Hope we can find the solution to this problem. Otherwise I will have to release claim and totally merge the whole JB to As-Built and reclaim the required terminal. Probably the partially merging of newly created panel in other project is not advisable or its probably the limit of version 6.
Have a nice :) day.
